Projects

There are several projects in the works which will be published in this blog over the course of time bi’ithnillaah - some completed and others still on their way (see below). Insha’Allah it’s my intention to see the expansion and completion of these projects. Unfortunately, some may take a very long time due to the actual content (and my time/effort I guess!), others will be wrapped up pretty quickly insha’Allah.

Dar al-Huffaadh

For those of you who wish to embark on the praiseworthy path of memorising Qur’aan, the path which all the scholars and students of knowledge had first taken, this project will insha’Allaah aim to fully translate a very useful (albeit small) book titled ‘Asbaab al-Mu’eena ‘alaa Hifdh al-Qur’aan’ written to ease the memorisation of Qur’aan, containing practical tips as well as verses and ahadeeth speaking of the virtues of hifdh and the huffaadh.

Exhortations of Imam al-Shaafi’ee

This project aims to translate quotes, from both poetry and prose, and also possible incidents from the life of Imam al-Shaafi’ee, taken from the book titled ‘Mawaa’idh al-Imam al-Shafi’ee. The book is available here and topically covers quotes regarding ‘ilm and the branches of uloom al-shar’iyyah, seeking knowledge, piety, advice and in general the raqaa’iq (heart softeners). Inshaa’Allah it’s my aim to one day have a humble collection like this for all the 4 Imams (Abu Hanifah, Imam Malik, al-Shafi’ee and Ahmad ibn Hanbal – rahimahumullaah) bi’ithnillah

The Life of ‘Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak

An amazing Imam whose life deserves to be mentioned and retold to the world. Due to the lack of information in the English language, insha’Allah I’ll try to publish some sort of biography (although not an extensive research) on the life of Ibn al-Mubarak, the great Imam and scholar from Khurasan.

Nooniyah al-Qahtaani

This is a gradual translation of the famous poem written by Imam Abu Muhammad al-Andalusi al-Qahtaani [Islamic Spain]. The poem covers many aspects of the ‘Aqeedah of Ahl al-Sunnah as well as points from the different Islamic Sciences e.g. ‘uloom al-Qur’aan, fiqh, hadeeth and also history.
